These are the Jobs we can offer

Eventhost for hunts

10 land areas are being managed by BIG Industries, with several hunting events weekly, especially on Fridays to Sundays. The times for these events are set to late afternoon to early night game time. An event is set by a manager of BIG. You need to register via the in game event system to be able to join and participate.
Any avatar that is on the land area when the event starts, that is not registered, will be teleported out of that area as soon as the event starts. A Host in hunting events has to provide information about ranks, globals and the latest information from BIG, ensuring that the hunters have the information they need, making the experience as good as possible.
Consider yourself as joint between the company and the hunter. Serve them with information and pass questions, requests and announcements between the player base and the leads of BIG. Be of service, so to speak. A pay per event on an hourly basis is given for this job.

SSI/Host

We started the Sweating Support Initiative with a monthly “SWEAT a THON” on OLA 01. Sweating Traeskerons with up to 100 players at the same time, and purchasing 2k vibrant sweat at a price of 5 PEDs total. This happened around 2013, and the idea of a steady sweating event was born.
We established a sweat circle with heal support, and scheduled a daily event with the purchase of 10x1k sweat from players with an agility level of 40 or less. The sweat price we pay is 2.5 PEDs/k, and we are proud to say, that we have never sold any sweat. The pile is several 10 million bottles big now… As our boss Blastoise says, “Go BIG or go home”.

Why are we doing this?
That what is good for the game can only be good for BIG as well. So we share parts of the income from the land areas and programs, back to the players that makes the game come alive. Success for more than 7 years now speaks for itself. As of April 2020, SSI is being held on Calypso, Arkadia, and Next Island. And with every day, the pile grows with up to 30.000 bottles The paid PEDs are flowing straight into the PED card of young players. This will help them find their own way, meet friends and bring freshness to the community. There are two main jobs that keep SSI running, and we are always looking for good reliable people to fill the daily need to make them happen. The jobs are 1 Host and 1 or 2 Healers, on 3 planets.

As a Host of an SSI you are responsible that the event runs smoothly. Making sure that the sweaters are joining the circle, and talking to those that are standing too far away, since the mob can jump out and create a mess. You need to, if necessary, organize which healer heals which circle. And you need to explain the SSI rules and decide who gets to sell on that particular day. The maximum is 10 sellers, and the selection is mostly done by asking a question in local chat and selecting the first 10 correct answers. You then check their agility level and buy their sweat. All overall you need to handle the course of the event.

Finally, you have to compensate for the healer for their costs. Edit an online document about your total costs of the day, so we can refill your PED stack and hand you the spent PEDs for buying the sweat, compensating the healer’s cost and add your pay. There is a pay per event for this Job.

Healer on Calypsos

Calypso is the most populated planet in Entropia Universe. So the Events on Calypso are the most populated as well. At high frequented times we have had up to 3 large circles simultaneously during SSI.2 circles with a total of 40-50 players have been common for a long time, and happen on a regular basis.A Host is needed to handle the event itself.

To make sure that the players can sweat steadily, and that the event runs smoothly, every circle needs a healer to keep the sweaters alive. And since we sweat the Ambulimax on Calypso, keep an extra eye on the puller, and their health. On Calypso the norm is to ask the sweaters to jump for heals when their health reaches 50% or less. This ensures that we don’t support AFK sweating in the events, which can create a mess and make the smooth teamwork impossible.

We compensate for your decay, which means you can skill for free. There is also an internal reward for this job.You can sign up for a specific day in advance since we plan the work on a weekly basis using an online document that all team members have access to.As a team member, you’re not tied to a specific planet. You’re still able to travel and do your part on any planet that we are hosting an SSI on.

Healer on Arkadia

Arkadia was added to the planets with an SSI around 2 years after the Calypso SSI was established. The sweating circle is smaller on both Arkadia and Next Island, making the healing a little bit different on these planets, compared to Calypso. We create a team on Arkadia and Next Island, which is used to kill the mob when it’s dry, but it will also help you as a healer, since you can see the health bars of up to 11 players. The “jump for heals” rule that we use on Calypso, does not have the same importance on the other planets, since the risk of AFK sweaters is low.

If the circle is big however, it’s still helpful for you to ask the people that are NOT in the team, to jump when their health reaches 50% or below. The mob we sweat on Arkadia is called Nusul. Lower level than the Ambulimax on Calypso, but you can still get a lot of work if a Provider or Dominant is pulled into the circle.

The team, also known as the “kill team”, uses TT pistols only for those that wants to shoot. Any planets current TT pistols can be used, since they all have the same stats. If there is an item drop, the host takes it and distributes the value equally between the shooters. And if the item has a high enough MU, it will be sold at hopefully a greater value before the PEDs are shared.

Healer on Next Island

Next Island is the “youngest” planet for BIG, regarding SSI. The sweating circle is smaller on both Arkadia and Next Island, making the healing a little bit different on these planets, compared to Calypso. We create a team on Arkadia and Next Island, which is used to kill the mob when it’s dry, but it will also help you as a healer since you can see the health bars of up to 11 players. The mob we sweat on Next Island, is called Screecher (M,F), and is similar to the Nusul on Arkadia regarding level. The team, also known as the “kill team”, uses TT pistols only for those that want to shoot. Any planets current TT pistols can be used since they all have the same stats. If there is an item drop, the host takes it and distributes the value equally between the shooters. Healer on LAs

The Landarea Healers are a small group of up to 5 BIG members who share a budget per month to support hunters on BIG Landareas with healings if wanted or requested. Appropriate heal-tools and skills to use them are required to provide a solid service.

WarpTeam

BIG schedules a weekly warp flight roundtrip between Calypso – Arkadia and Next Island.

The warp pilot of the Privateer is in space on that ship. Due to the nature of the channels and setups, there is a need to have a Team Manager on each planet who gather the travelers and lets the pilot join the team once the ship arrives at the planet Spacestation.

It is needed to give the pilot the option to set the passengers to the guest list of the ship, so he can summon them straight from the planet’s surface up into space onto the ship.

So you would have to visit public places on the planet you are on and use the local and different other chat channels to spread the free warp offer to and from Next Island around. Gather the interested players in a team and invite the pilot at the right moment.

There is a pay per handled day for this job.

Pilot to OLA42

SSI on Calypso is being held at OLA 42. ………..
Many players, especially the new ones that we are trying to support, do not have that teleporter. And that is why we use a pilot three times a week, to make sure anyone can join SSI. The pilot uses a helicopter, and takes the passengers free to OLA 42 from “New Oxford”, via a few stops on the way, to allow the players to get additional teleporters.

As a pilot, you will have to run a promotional tour, and gather players for the flight. The times of the flights are set so that you arrive shortly before the start of SSI.

Players that don’t have the “New Oxford” teleporter can get it and a few others by simply talking to the NPC right next to the teleporter at “Port Atlantis” or “Cape Corinth”. It’s your job to make sure this information is included in the promotional tour. During the flight, you give some basic information about BIG and SSI.

There is a pay per flight for this job. You will need your own helicopter to make sure you have room for the passengers.

Advertiser

The advertiser is the “speaker” for the company, and brings the latest news to the player base and provides information about current daily, weekly and monthly events.

You will need to frequently visit the most public places and use the different chat channels to send text messages. Some players might approach you for requests, questions, suggestions or complaints. It’s your job to show respect during these talks, and make sure that you give correct information as well as forward any suggestions or more difficult questions to BIG. Most advertisers are doing a set tour for up to one hour.

There is a weekly pay for this job.
